1 Life itself is a mystery untold stamped with uncertainity. Each and every soul is born out of blessings of Navagraha’s (Soorya, Chandra, Chovva, Bhudha, Vyazha, Rahu, Kethu, Sani and Gulika) as these Navagraha influence Karma of a person in his path of life. Navagrahas are so powerful that the influence creates destiny of each and every soul living on this earth. Every thing on this earth is rotated influenced by holy laws unknown.
Path of life has three dimensions, Past, Present and Future. Karmas done in present situations, its result rebounds in future; if karmas are influenced by dharma it leads to wisdom, prospirity, wealth and happiness in future, while karma is done against existing laws of dharma results in anxiety and panic in future. It is the choice of individual soul to think and select, what type of karma is to be done; whether to accept dharmic means or not.
In the age of Kaliyuga, most of the people seems helpless in dealing with karmic outcomes as the community as a whole is dipped in the ocean of darkness. The only way out of darkness is praying to God with all devotion. Praying to God is the only solution in this Kaliyuga and how and what is explained in detail in Bhajagovindam the secret book leading a person to Bhakthiyoga in ultimate sense. The holy book of Vedas discusses Dharma in detail and tells how important a person should be in the path of Dharma through out life.
How to lead a life of compassion, wisdom, truth and Dharma leading to prosperity and wealth? In the age of Kaliyuga, as each diety has his own colors, and each person has the wisdom to choose a diety of his preference in his life. Out of Lord Hanuman teaches Bhakthiyoga in full sense throughout his life, the devotion to Lord Rama and sita. It is also explained where in the heart Lord Rama and sita lives, Lord Hanuman is there. So, where on earth Rama mantra is recited blessings of Lord Hanuman is there. Lord Hanuman is the symbol of true devotion, innocence, power, strength, courage and intelligence.
To sail in the ocean of Karma, in right means, Lord Hanuman’s blessings is a must, and it is one of the powerful solution to a devotee to deal with everyday problems of life. Panchamukhi Hanuman idol is the best solution for a devotee; praying panchamukhi hanuman gaurantees prospirity and victory in life.
Panchamukhi means ‘Five faces’;
The first face is of Lord Hanuman itself; the face of Lord Hanuman should be faced towards Eastern Direction. Lord Hanuman blesses for purity of mind, devotion, strength and Success in life.
The second face is of Lord Narasimha (half man and half lion) facing towards Southern direction. The blessings of Lord Narasimha is attained by those who live according to dharma shastra’s. Those who live in the path of dharma, never fear and become fearless, and always tells truth. As purity of mind is there no black magic falls on the devotees head.
The third face is of Garuda, the vehicle of Lord Vishnu facing to western direction. It protects from the poisonous thoughts arising outside and inner consciousness. The devotee will be in ultimate consciousness and awareness as this guard the devotee. Garuda was mentioned in vedas to take divine nectar to earth from heaven. Garuda is depicted as having the golden body of a strong man with a white face, red wings, and an eagle's beak and with a crown on his head as Lord Vishnu is massive eagle like bird even powerful to block out the sun. Garudi Vidya is the mantra against snake poison to remove all kinds of evil. Garuda is also known as Chirada, Gaganeshwara, Kamayusha, Kashyapi, Khageshwara, Nagantaka, Sitanana, Sudhahara, Suparna, Tarkshya, Vainateya and Vishnuratha. In Tamil Vaishnavism Garuda and Hanuman are known as "Periya Thiruvadi" and "Siriya Thiruvadi" respectively.
In the Bhagavad-Gita at the time of "Kurukshetra war” Lord Krishna himself explains – "as son of Vinata, I am in the form of Garuda, the king of the bird community (Garuda)" indicating the importance of Garuda.
Here, Garuda wears the serpent Adisesha on his left wrist and the serpent Gulika on his right wrist. The serpent Vasuki forms his sacred thread. The cobra Takshaka forms his belt on his hip. The snake Karkotaka is worn as his necklace. The snakes Padma and Mahapadma are his ear rings. The snake Shankachuda adorns his divine hair. He is flanked by his two wives ‘Rudra’ and ‘Sukeerthi’ or (Sukirthi). These are all invoked in Vedanta Desika's Garuda Panchashath and Garuda 4 Dandaka compositions. This is the reason that blessings of Garuda removes all poisons attached with physical and mental level.
The fourth face is of Lord Varaha, the third incarnation of Lord Vishnu in the form of Boar (with a boar's head and human body), blessings of varahamoorthy gives prosperity and wealth through right means (doing right karmas) through out life. Varaha avathar was taken by Lord Vishnu to protect Earth from primordial waters.
In Vishnu Purana, Varaha represents yajna. His feet represent the Vedas. His tusks represent sacrificial stakes. His teeth are offerings. His mouth is the altar with tongue of sacrificial fire. The hair on his head denotes the sacrificial grass. The eyes represent the day and the night. His coarse hair represents sexual prowess. The head represents the seat of the Brahmin . The mane represents the hymns of the Vedas. His nostrils are for oblation. His joints represent the various ceremonies. The ears are said to indicate rites. Varaha symbolizes the resurrection of the earth from a pralaya and establishment of new kalpa.
The final and fifth face is Lord Hayagriva the incarnation of Lord Vishnu having a face of horse faces upwards. Blessing of this lord gives ultimate knowledge of truth and wisdom in life, as Hayagriva avathar was taken by Lord Vishnu to protect the Vedas from the powerful rakshas Madhu-Kaidaba, who stole Vedas from Lord Brahma. 5 Being a devotee of Panchamukhi Hanuman is blessed to lead a successful life through dharmic means leading to Moksha.
How Hanuman became Panchamukhi?
According to Krittibasi Ramayana; at the time of furious battle between army of Lord Rama and Rakshasa King Ravana, when one of the son of Ravana; Meghanath also known as Indrajit was killed by Lakshmana through furious battle; restless Ravana plot to call powerful king of Pathala loka Ahiravana to help him in the battle. At the time Sage Agasthya in his mind understood Ravanas project and he warned Lord Ramas army that something bad will happen in this night. So, Hanuman was appointed to guard the resting room of Lord Rama and Lakshmana that night.
Ahiravana was a great devotee of Goddess Mahamaya, and is so powerful in black magic and transformation into various form at will. He plotted to change his form and enter into the room where Rama and Lakshmana was sleeping. Many attempt was foiled by Hanuman. Atlast the rakshasa took the form of Vibhishana and tried to enter the room, Hanuman was fooled and permitted to enter the resting place. This was the right time for Ahiravana and took both Rama and Lakshmana to Paathalaloka to sacrifice to Goddess Mahamaya.
During the time Hanuman met Vibhishana; Vibhishana warned Hanuman and tells to save Rama and Lakshmana from the hands of Ahiravana.
The moment Hanuman rushed to pathalaloka to save Rama and Lakshmana. Hanuman was challenged by Ahiravanas and Mahiravanas large army. Chandrasena told Hanuman that the only way to kill these powerful rakshasas is to blowout five secret fire instantly kept at five different directions instantaneously all at the same time. To blow out all five Hanuman took the form with five faces and acted to kill those rakshasas. It was the end of Ahiravana.
